Warwickshire County Council
In Warwickshire we have piloted the Cascade 3d Connected Care System. The system was introduced to individuals who were returning home from hospital. Informal carers can login on their phone and at a glance see if someone has been moving around and participating in their usual daily routines such as making a hot drink, accessing the fridge for food, using the bathroom, etc. It is non-invasive and provides insights into an individual’s progress in regaining their independence again.
Informal carers have reported feeling their stress and worry levels reducing, having the system in and their loved ones reported they felt it improved their confidence when they first returned home. It has been a real learning experience seeing how technology can support informal carers in the important role they undertake.
