MimoCare
Cascade3d in new healthcare partnership

Gerry Hodgson, Nov 2014

I'm delighted to announce that MimoCare has joined forces with Cascade3d.

Our new partnership means that we can work closely together in order to transform health and wellbeing outcomes for elderly and vulnerable people.  Cascade3d is providing the data analytics platform for MimoCare.

We've always been passionate about using data to improve health and wellbeing and this new venture is a perfect fit with our work in the health, fitness and sports sectors.

Sharon Weeks has joined us as Business Development Director for the healthcare sector and provides guidance for integration of data services between carers, healthcare providers and families.  Sharon has a background in health and education and her understanding of the issues of inclusion faced by vulnerable people makes her a strong advocate of the use of technology to support greater independence.

Cloud based analytics
Cascade3d launches new online analytics service

Gerry Hodgson, Oct 2014

October 2014 is the start of an exciting new era for Cascade3d. We can now provide advanced cloud-based analytics to the telecare, telehealth and sports & leisure industries that will revolutionise the way data is used to improve health and wellbeing outcomes.

Leading telecare provider MimoCare was one of the first to sign up. They use tiny sensors placed around the homes of elderly and vulnerable service users to stream data directly into the Cascade3d Online platform. Information about activity patterns and changes in behaviour is then provided to families, carers and clinicians, giving them invaluable insights into the wellbeing of the people in their care.

Cascade3d online analytics and FlexiForms products are hosted by Cyber Host Pro using powerful Intel based Dell servers. CEO and founder of Cyber Host Pro, Chris Danks said “We are proud to have some of the most up to date server technology on the internet. With our brand new dedicated Dell servers we can provide extraordinary performance, scaling and reliability 24/7 to all of our customers. We’re really pleased to be working with Cascade3d and hosting their real-time analytics services.”

Gladstone Plus2
Welcome to Finesse Leisure

Will Jones, Sept 2014

I am delighted to announce a new partnership with Finesse Leisure.

The Finesse Leisure group is based in Welwyn Garden City and will be running Cascade Analytics on their Gladstone Plus2 system.  Everything is going well and, after installation and training, we'll be going live this Autumn.

I'm looking forward to showing the Finesse team how to get the most out of their membership database and can't wait to start working with them all.

Venues
Commonwealth Games

Clare Flanagan, July 2014

We've been following the Commonwealth Games closely here at Cascade3d - and not just because we are all keen sports fans.

Our software helps to monitor income and usage levels at some of the fantastic venues being used in the Games.  So, if you have seen the Emirates Arena, Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome or the Tollcross International Swimming Centre on TV then a little part of us has been there too.

We are also very proud of Laura Halford from Cricklade where our head office is based. Gymnast Laura won a team silver medal and two individual bronzes for Team Wales in her first major games - well done Laura!

Internet of things
Intel IoT lab opens for business

Clare Flanagan, June 2014

Intel launched a new European IoT lab this month in Swindon - and we were there! The IoT Ignition Lab has been set up to help UK companies take their connected devices projects to the next level and we're very excited to be part of the project.

Cascade3d's CEO, Gerry Hodgson, spoke at the launch to explain how we are using sophisticated technology and big data capabilities to pioneer the use of IoT in social healthcare.

We will also be streaming data to the Glasgow open data portal helping the council to achieve its ambition of creating smarter systems in smarter buildings throughout the city.

The full article about the launch of the Intel IoT lab can be found in Computer Weekly News

Xn
Xn National User Conference

Craig Campbell, June 2014

I was really pleased to be asked to present at the Xn User Conference earlier this month.  Our main focus was demonstrating how to use data to make marketing easier and more effective.  I looked at two key areas - how to create a marketing journey and communications plan for exisiting members and then how to prospect for new members.

Everything really does start with the data.  It's amazing just how much information our clients already have about their customers. It's not just useful for the marketing team, it can play a crucial role helping the board to make the right executive decisions. However, it isn't always easy to get the information out of the system and into a usable format.

If you are struggling to make sense of your data then let us know, we're always happy to help.

Social networking
Scottish Leisure Network gets social

Dawn-Anne McAneny, May 2014

I had a wonderful time in Glasgow recently hosting a Social Media Workshop for the Scottish Leisure Network. There was lots of energy and enthusiasm in the room and some excellent, easy-to-implement ideas from the presenters and the delegates. We all came away buzzing!

We worked with our partners Big Wave Media to plan and deliver the day's programme. Copies of all the presentations can be found here.

We're really looking forward to helping SLN members use their data to build even stronger relationships with their members in future.  If you're wondering whether to take the plunge into social media and would like to know more please get in touch.
